Signings Update

Following the announcements of Denzel Gerrar and Mahrez Bettache, new gaffer Anthony Gale has been a busy man securing a number of players for the new season. Firstly, Montserrat international defender Joey Taylor was signed, becoming the first important pillar of our defensive line. The Swans then secured Rising Ballers duo Dara Dada (midfield) and Niran Butler (defence). Dara played at Step 4 last season and Butler is a talented player who we hope to be very successful at Wheatsheaf Park. Jim Horne (1930-2019)

Staines Town FC is sad to announce the passing at the age of 88 of its former Secretary, Jim Horne, on the morning of Sunday 16thJune 2019. Jim was born on 16thDecember 1930, was brought up on a farm in Coulsdon, and had to leave formal education early because of the War.  He later served with the Desert Rats (7thArmoured) in West Germany, as well as pursuing careers in farming, gardening, and nursing.  He received several honours and recognitions, topped by being bestowed a Serving Brother of the Order of Saint John by the Queen in 1968.   A boyhood Crystal Palace fan, he

Staines Sign Denzel Gerrar

We are delighted to announce the signing of goalkeeper Denzel Gerrar for the upcoming season. Denzel, 24, most recently played underneath gaffer Anthony Gale for Walton Casuals. He picked up the Supporters Player of the Year gong in 2017-18, with his penalty save sending Walton up to face the Swans in the Southern League last season. In his time with the club, he also gained the record for the most clean sheets for the Casuals at Step 4 and was considered a fans’ favourite. Justin Skinner: Profile

Following the announcement of Anthony Gale as manager, we are delighted to welcome Justin Skinner as his assistant manager. Justin will be a vital part of the backroom team at Wheatsheaf Park, bringing with him a wealth of experience from both professional and semi-professional football. Skinner started his playing career at Fulham in 1986, amassing 135 league appearances whilst netting 23 goals over his five seasons with the club. In Focus: Mahrez Bettache

As stated in the announcement of new gaffer Anthony Gale, we’re delighted to welcome Mahrez Bettache to the Swans family. Mahrez, 25; joins the club in both a playing and coaching capacity. In his playing exploits, Mahrez, a talented midfielder, started off his career at Fulham; being part of their under-18 squad. This was prior to alternating spells at Corinthian Casuals and Hendon. In 2017, Bettache joined Braintree Town and was part of the side which secured promotion to the National League via the National League South play-offs. Swans Appoint Anthony Gale as Manager

Staines Town are delighted to announce Anthony Gale as the new First Team Manager.  His first task will be to steady the ship of a club who endured a terrible 2018/19 season, which ended in relegation to step 4 and a place in the Bostik League Division One South Central.   It was in this same division that Gale made his name.
