Swindon Supermarine (H)

The Swans entertained Swindon Supermarine on a cold and sodding wet Remembrance Weekend Saturday. Both sides marked 100 years since the end of World War One with a minute silence and wreath ceremony in the centre circle. Easom made one change from the starting lineup that faced Tiverton, with Barker replaced by Andy Ali. The Swans made a sharp start to the game with a half-chance being fashioned in the opening minute, with Abrahams’ effort routinely saved. In the 23rd minute, Will Henry saved Harry Agombar’s pinpoint free-kick from just over 25 yards out. However, the home side were not

Hanworth Villa (H)

The Swans entertained local Combined Counties League side in Hanworth Villa in the Middlesex Senior Cup. The game marked Robert Easom’s first home game in charge and a chance to progress into Quarter Final of the competition. Initially in the first half, the Swans had a significant amount of possession without too much threat to the opposition goal. However, this was until Luca Charles-Valentine unleashed fury from his right boot and fired in a stunning opening goal in the 20th minute. Staines then threatened as the break approached, forcing a couple of saves from the Hanworth keeper. Shortly after the break, Thomas

Merthyr Town FC (H)

Saturday 13 October marked Non League Day and the Swans were home in a Southern League South clash with Merthyr Town. Staines almost made a catastrophic start to the game when Merthyr’s Kerry Morgan sliding shot cannoned wide from close range after just two minutes. Andy Ali almost made Merthyr pay for this but his outside of the foot shot didn’t trouble the keeper or goal just two minutes later. Tom Meechan scored his first goal of the game for Merthyr after 13 minutes when his curled strike from the edge of the box found the top right corner of

Hartley Wintney FC (H)

Those in attendance at Wheatsheaf Park were treated to a rollercoaster ride as the Swans were defeated 5-3 at home to Hartley Wintney. It was all change for the Swans with interim manager Adam Wicks taking charge for the first time. Alfie Fleming, a 17-year old scholar on loan from Leyton Orient made his debut for the Swans. Hartley took the lead after 28 minutes with Liam Eagle heading in from a right-side corner kick. After 34 minutes, the Swans found themselves two down after a goalkeeping error with Nic Ciardini’s strong free kick bursting the keeper’s hands and flying

Beaconsfield Town FC (H)

The Swans entered the Bank Holiday Monday tie with five first team players out injured; Liam Higgins, Elan Assiana, Dawayne Campbell, Ruudi Clarke and Marley Hamilton. Mbangu and Odetola made their home competitive debuts as boss Cristian Colás made one change to the lineup from the trip to Gosport Borough. Beaconsfield fielded four former swans in their starting lineup; Constable, Pashaj, Brown and captain Neville. For the second game in a row the Swans found themselves behind to an early goal. In the 8th minute, Staines failed to deal with a cross-field ball from goalkeeper Constable and Louis Stead fired
