Wraysbury ‘keeper makes matchday squad

The relationship between Staines Town FC and Wraysbury Village FC took a further step forward when Matty Bonnett was handed the number 13 shirt by Jack Porter for Staines’ Buildbase FA Trophy tie on Saturday (9 Oct 2021).  Matty was one of several Wraysbury players who dual registered with Staines Town last month.   The 23 year old, who is the regular goalkeeper for the Thames Valley Premier League side, became the first Wraysbury player to be called into The Swans’ matchday squad, understudying for Joe Ringer in the match against Three Bridges.  The Stags were without a fixture on

Club Statement – Mick Woodham

It is with much regret that Staines Town FC announce the departure of Manager Mick Woodham this morning. Mick was appointed in the spring, and has secured victories in six of his eighteen matches in charge, but, crucially, League form has fallen short of expectations and we are currently at the foot of the table (barring inactive clubs). Following defeat at Westfield yesterday, Mick tendered his resignation this morning (3 October 2021).
