Ashley Lodge Returns to the Swans

We’re delighted to announce that club favourite Ashley Lodge has committed to the club for the upcoming season. In his previous spells with the club, he has played a total of 164 times for the first team prior to his departure in December 2015. Lodge picked up the Reserve and Academy Player of the Year awards in 2009, 2010 and 2011; before he landed the First Team Player of the Year award in 2014. We hope the Swans fans are as excited as we are in welcoming Ashley back home to Wheatsheaf Park.

Swans sign striker Jamie Philpot

We are delighted to announce that Staines Town have signed 22-year old striker Jamie Philpot for the upcoming season. Jamie started his career at Millwall, making a handful of appearances for the first team. In his time at the New Den, he worked with both Anthony Gale and Justin Skinner. In the past couple of seasons, he has played at Dartford, Maidstone, Bromley and most recently a spell at National League side Barrow. We’re extremely excited to have him on board and we hope he becomes a fan favourite over the coming season.

Supporters Club Boost the Budget Campaign

To thank everyone for their continued support during what was a very difficult season last year we will not be charging current members anything to renew their Supporters Club membership for this coming year, but for any new member it will remain at £20.00 adults & £10.00 for concessions. However we still want your money but this time by supporting ON the field activities and we ask you to please fully support the below. Signings Update

Following the announcements of Denzel Gerrar and Mahrez Bettache, new gaffer Anthony Gale has been a busy man securing a number of players for the new season. Firstly, Montserrat international defender Joey Taylor was signed, becoming the first important pillar of our defensive line. The Swans then secured Rising Ballers duo Dara Dada (midfield) and Niran Butler (defence). Dara played at Step 4 last season and Butler is a talented player who we hope to be very successful at Wheatsheaf Park. Jim Horne (1930-2019)

Staines Town FC is sad to announce the passing at the age of 88 of its former Secretary, Jim Horne, on the morning of Sunday 16thJune 2019. Jim was born on 16thDecember 1930, was brought up on a farm in Coulsdon, and had to leave formal education early because of the War.  He later served with the Desert Rats (7thArmoured) in West Germany, as well as pursuing careers in farming, gardening, and nursing.  He received several honours and recognitions, topped by being bestowed a Serving Brother of the Order of Saint John by the Queen in 1968.   A boyhood Crystal Palace fan, he

Staines Sign Denzel Gerrar

We are delighted to announce the signing of goalkeeper Denzel Gerrar for the upcoming season. Denzel, 24, most recently played underneath gaffer Anthony Gale for Walton Casuals. He picked up the Supporters Player of the Year gong in 2017-18, with his penalty save sending Walton up to face the Swans in the Southern League last season. In his time with the club, he also gained the record for the most clean sheets for the Casuals at Step 4 and was considered a fans’ favourite. Justin Skinner: Profile

Following the announcement of Anthony Gale as manager, we are delighted to welcome Justin Skinner as his assistant manager. Justin will be a vital part of the backroom team at Wheatsheaf Park, bringing with him a wealth of experience from both professional and semi-professional football. Skinner started his playing career at Fulham in 1986, amassing 135 league appearances whilst netting 23 goals over his five seasons with the club. Justin then transferred to Bristol Rovers in 1991, plying his trade with the west-country club for seven seasons. He then made the move north of the border to play for Hibernian

In Focus: Mahrez Bettache

As stated in the announcement of new gaffer Anthony Gale, we’re delighted to welcome Mahrez Bettache to the Swans family. Mahrez, 25; joins the club in both a playing and coaching capacity. In his playing exploits, Mahrez, a talented midfielder, started off his career at Fulham; being part of their under-18 squad. This was prior to alternating spells at Corinthian Casuals and Hendon. Swans Appoint Anthony Gale as Manager

Staines Town are delighted to announce Anthony Gale as the new First Team Manager.  His first task will be to steady the ship of a club who endured a terrible 2018/19 season, which ended in relegation to step 4 and a place in the Bostik League Division One South Central.   It was in this same division that Gale made his name. 2019-20 League Assignment

The league assignments for Step 1 to 6 of the National League System for next season have been made; with Staines Town returning to the Isthmian League. Following our relegation from the Southern League South, we will be plying our trade in the Isthmian League South Central with allocations being subject to a 7-day appeal period. Staines Town Part Ways with Easom

The club would like to regrettably announce that it has parted ways with manager Rob Easom. Rob had recently taken over the reigns at Wheatsheaf Park, but the club has decided that a change was required to keep the team in the division. Swans sign Finn Tapp on loan

Staines Town FC are delighted to announce that Finn Tapp has signed on loan from MK Dons until January 1st. Finn, a 19 year old defender, has been part of the MK Dons youth setup since the age of 8. He made his first team debut for MK in November 2016, scoring on debut in an EFL Trophy tie against Norwich City. This season he has featured once for the first team, playing in an EFL Cup tie versus AFC Bournemouth. Swans sign trio of players

The Swans have signed a trio of players this week; left-back Tanasheh Abrahams, central midfielder Wilson Changoka and winger Matthew Campbell-Mhlope. Abrahams joins from Dulwich Hamlet, where he spent the last 14 months, including being part of the side that won promotion from the Bostik Premier League to the National League South. He also had been part of the Wingate & Finchley side which reached the Bostik Premier play-offs in 2016-17. Club Statement: Manager Appointed

Staines Town FC are delighted to announce that Robert Easom is to take over the vacant manager position. Robert, a UEFA B licensed coach brings with him a wealth of experience within football. He has held various coaching positions within professional football clubs at Academy level and most recently held the position of Head Coach of Watford FC Academy USA. Club Statement – Cristian Colas

The club would like to regrettably announce that it has parted ways with Head Coach Cristian Colas. Cristian had taken over the reigns this summer but the club has decided that this action was required to secure the future of the team. We wish Cristian the best in his future endeavours and thank him for his hard work during his stint at Wheatsheaf Park. Backroom staff Albert Martinez and Stuart Bimson have also left Staines Town. Swans acquire former Swindon duo

Staines Town are delighted to announce that midfielder Harry Agombar and striker George Barker have signed for the Swans. Agombar spent the initial part of his youth career at Arsenal and Tottenham before finishing off at Grays Athletic. He subsequently played for Grays’ senior side prior to playing at Barnet in League Two, Swindon Town in League One. Most recently he played for Bowers and Pitsea. Barker also features a professional football background, starting his career at Brighton and Hove Albion before having loan spells at Barnet and Newport County.
