Staines Town Football Club is urgently looking to expand its volunteer base, with the emphasis on matchday staffing.  We have openings for helpers in all sorts of capacities, including: Matchday control and stewarding Kit Co-ordinator First Aiders and Spotters Hospitality and hosts / hostesses Clerical and secretarial assistance Training back-ups to existing posts such as gate operators and PA announcer These are all volunteer posts, but we can offer free admission to games, branded jackets to those in public-facing roles, and acknowledgement in Club publications.   Anyone who feels they can give some time in support of Staines Town FC

STAINES TOWN FC END-OF-SEASON BRAAI

Saturday 29th May 2021 (12:00-3pm) – Staines Town hosted a “thank you” Barbeque for last year’s staff and volunteers, organised and hosted at Wheatsheaf Park by Chairman Kevin Rowell.  With the Club not able to hold its end-of-season presentation night, this was also an opportunity to present the awards relating to the curtailed 2020/1 season.  Compèred by the Club secretary, Steve Parsons introduced all those in attendance, and thanked them all, as well all the other behind-the-scenes volunteers by name, for their commitment and hard work during the often difficult times that have been experienced.  Tribute was also paid to

League Constitutions Announced

The Football Association Non League System committee has just announced the constitutions of the leagues and divisions for the forthcoming 2021/2 season. After some speculation that Staines Town would be shuffled back to the Southern League, it is with a degree of relief that we are remaining as Isthmian members, still in the South Central Division 1 in which we have played for the past two aborted seasons. DAVID NORRIS STEPS DOWN AS STFC SUPPORTERS’ CLUB CHAIRMAN

Staines Town FC wishes to extend its thanks and recognition to David Norris, who yesterday (4 May 2021) decided to step down as Chairman of the STFC Supporters’ Club.  David has held that position since the Supporters’ Club was reconstituted in January 2015, and has guided the organisation with great skill and enthusiasm over the past six seasons, regardless of results on the field.  He also held the post of Supporters’ Representative on the STFC General Committee.   David, whose business has also been a valued sponsor at Wheatsheaf Park, revealed his decision to fellow STFCSC members this morning, and

Mick Woodham appointed First Team Manager

Staines Town FC is delighted to announce the appointment MICK WOODHAM as the new First Team Manager. Mick brings a wealth of experience of the non-League game, having spent some eight seasons at his hometown club, Windsor FC, at whose Stag Meadow ground he was also previously a player.  He has also served Bracknell Town and, in recent weeks, Slough Town, where he had assisted former Swans man Jon Underwood in a scouting capacity.  Mick achieved stability and success with The Royalists, including County and League Cup medals and two superb runs in the FA Vase. STFC would like to announce that Kevin Rowell has been appointed to the position of Club Chairman with immediate effect. Kevin has been a loyal servant to the club over the past three seasons and has demonstrated excellent leadership qualities in his role as General Manager, he also brings with him experience that includes the General Managers position at Ajax Cape Town in South Africa. Covid 19 update – Aldershot Town FC

Following last week’s announcement from the FA, which outlined the gradual return of spectators for clubs in the National League System, we are delighted to welcome supporters back to Wheatsheaf Park for our next home friendly which is against Aldershot Town FC on Saturday 29th August.   (Kick off 3PM) Stage one of the phased return set out by the FA has limited clubs at step four to permit crowds of 15% of the minimum capacity for that level, in our case 200 spectators.   From the 30th August this number will increase to 30% allowing us to host up to 400

Paul Barnes appointed Head Coach. 

Staines Town FC are delighted to announce that Paul Barnes has been appointed as First Team Head Coach. Paul has built a strong reputation in the game and brings with him a wealth of experience. Paul has had spells at Welling United, Ashford United and Margate FC in assistant manager and first team coach capacities. Paul was also manager at Greenwich Borough during the 2017/18 season, leading the club to the play-offs. Paul has successfully obtained his UEFA A License.
