Recap
The Swans entered the Bank Holiday Monday tie with five first team players out injured; Liam Higgins, Elan Assiana, Dawayne Campbell, Ruudi Clarke and Marley Hamilton.
Mbangu and Odetola made their home competitive debuts as boss Cristian Colás made one change to the lineup from the trip to Gosport Borough.
Beaconsfield fielded four former swans in their starting lineup; Constable, Pashaj, Brown and captain Neville.
For the second game in a row the Swans found themselves behind to an early goal. In the 8th minute, Staines failed to deal with a cross-field ball from goalkeeper Constable and Louis Stead fired in a pinpoint shot across goal into the net.
With just 25 minutes gone, Staines made the first substitution of the game with Ndovi replacing Montague on the right side as the Swans attempted to shift the balance of the game.
Unfortunately for the Swans, there was minimal threat to the opposition goal for the remainder of the half.
In the 59th minute, Staines were lucky to keep the score at 1-0 with a brilliant triple save from on-loan goalkeeper Manny Agboola.
Beaconsfield had a goal disallowed in the 65th minute when Ajanlekoko was adjudged to be offside from a defence splitting free-kick from Swans Academy graduate Pashaj.
Andre Odetola saved the backline’s blushes after 75 minutes when he denied Mendy with a last ditch tackle to keep the score within one.
Towards the end of the game, Staines pushed more men forwards and minor chances came when Ndovi was denied by Constable and Khanye lifted a free kick from the edge of the box over the bar.
The game ended 0-1 in favour of Beaconsfield.
Staines next league game is on Saturday 1 September as we make the long trip down to the Dorset coast for a fixture against Poole Town.
