Started as a junior with GS Loures in 1998/9, and for the following six seasons played for the GS Loures/Sporting Lisbon youth side. Stepped up into men’s football with UD Vilafranquense, where he would amass 162 appearances (15 goals) in the Portuguese 2nd and 3rd National Divisions between 2005 and 2010. Signed for Staines upon coming to England, and his club début was one of his two Reserve team appearances in January 2011 (12th, H v Hayes & YU Res, D0-0).
