Tucker has an interesting footballing history which has seen him spend much of it as a defender (right back or centre back) or in the centre of midfield. His first clubs were Brunswick, the Fulham FC academy, North Greenford United, Bedfont Eagles, and Croydon Athletic, as well as gaining Middlesex and Youth League rep honours, before joining the Staines Town Academy in June 2016, when he was known as Tommy Melville, and making his club début in an U18 match vs Hampton & Richmond Borough on 27.7.16 (friendly, drew 2-2). Over the course of three seasons, he clocked up 70 Academy appearances (+11 unused sub; 3 goals + 1 in a penalty shoot-out), gradually converting to a goalkeeper during that time, emulating his team-mate and brother Charlie. Moved on to Bedfont Sports in 2019/20, then went up to Elgin City in Scotland, before returning south with Molesey in 2020/1 and early ’21/2, where he played mainly in the U23s as an outfielder. Returned to Staines Town under his newly adopted name in October 2021.
