Joined the Club in June 2019, and very quickly set about the enormous task of steadying last season’s very leaky ship, completely overhauling the squad and bringing his blend of dynamism, hard work, and enthusiasm that had made him a popular and successful manager at Walton Casuals the previous four seasons. Promotion from the Isthmian Division 1 South Central to the Southern League Premier South saw The Stags enjoy their highest ever level of football, and his side also captured the club’s first silverware in 20 years with the Southern Combination Cup, as well as Manager of the Month awards for Gale himself.  Anthony trailled at a couple of pro’ clubs at a young age, and went on to play over 400 games in senior non-League football, but it as a coach and manager that he has made his name.  Gaining his UEFA Licence with Advance Youth Module 4, he worked for five years at Chelsea FC, coaching the boys and the ladies’ academy, and then spent a similar period with Millwall FC, working with players of all ages from under 8s to under 21s and taking a great deal of satisfaction in helping footballers at the grass-roots level to develop into established senior players.
